I note with great personal delight and pleasure that the 27th Indian Association of Public Health Dentistry National Conference is going to be held in SGT University, Gurugram on 1st ,2nd and 3rd December, 2023.
Over the last 25 years, IAPHD members have made tremendous contributions in research, teaching and practice, resulting in impacts in many sectors of society. At this conference let us celebrate what we, as a professional community, have achieved. Additionally, our future vision is to create even greater value to all corners of the globe. This conference will be one for us to share our thoughts and exchange ideas on how to chart our journey forward to reach new heights. Hope, we have an exciting programmes at this conference that will allow members to reflect upon and celebrate our past accomplishments, renew friendships and extend our networks, and jointly explore current and future research directions.

Department of Public Health Dentistry
The department is active and booming with various activities. MDS and started in 2013 and PhD in 2023, over 600 camps have been conducted by the department so far and over 25 school adoption programs, over 50 field visits unit and TCC cell is fully operational under the department. We have 3 satellite centres and well-equipped museum and mobile dental van for carrying out various outreach programs. The department faculty are approved MUHS resource faculty for Research Methodology and Teachers Training
The Department of Public Health Dentistry focuses on promoting oral health at a community and population level. This department is responsible for educating dental students about public health principles, epidemiology, research & statistics, health promotion, and disease prevention related to oral health.
In our departments, students often engage in community outreach programs, dental camps, and projects aimed at improving the oral health of the surrounding communities. This practical exposure allows students to understand the challenges and opportunities in addressing oral health issues on a broader scale.
Faculty members in the Department of Public Health Dentistry often conduct research related to community oral health, preventive strategies, and health policy. We collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and other healthcare organizations to implement oral health initiatives.
