Blood Donation Camp

We All Know “A Drop Of Blood Can Save A Life”. Blood Donation Is One Of The Noblest Ways Of Helping Who In Need. Keeping This In Mind National Service Scheme From Sinhgad Dental College And Hospital, Pune In Association With Rotract Club Had Organized A Blood Donation Camp On 22nd March 2016. Camp Had Been Arranged In Auditorium Of The College. Many Students And Staff Members Actively Participated In The Blood Donation About 56 Bottles Of Blood Was Collected During The Cam. The Participants Were Provided With Refreshments.

World Health Day

The N.S.S. Unit, Sinhgad Dental College & Hospital Had Conducted Diabetic Screening And Health Education On The Occasion Of World Health Day On 7th April 2016, At The Premises Of The College. Wide Campaigning Was Done For This Program Via Social Networking Sites And Registrations Were Open For The Students And Staff Of Sinhgad Dental College.
Blood Sugar Screening Of Patients Attending The O.P.D. Of Were Done With A Glucometer And Patient Education Regarding Healthy Lifestyle And Risks Of Diabetes Were Imparted On The Spot. 125 Patients Screened Were Subjected To A Separate Case History And The Data Collected Was Evaluated. After The Screening, Lectures Were Held To Educate The Participants. The Participants Were Highly Satisfied With The Organization Of The Event And A Press Note Was Sent With Few Pictures For Publication.

World Oral Health Day

NSS In Coordination With The Department Of Public Health Dentistry Had Organized An Oral Health Check-Up And Oral Health Education Camp At The Poona School And Home For Blind Girls, Kothrud, Pune On 20th March, 2016 To Celebrate The World Oral Health Day.
The Camp Was Specially Organized For The Blind Girls In Pune City. The Girls Were Motivated For Improving Oral Hygiene Status And Eating Healthy Foodstuff With The Help Of Oral Health Education. The Students Have Gone Back With A Lasting Smile & Fond Memories That Were Instilled During The Educational Program.A Total Number Of 137 Patients Were Screened And Were Given Oral Health Education.

World No Tobacco Day Celebration

According To WHO, 31st May Is Declared As World No Tobacco Day.
To Create Awareness About Tobacco Smoking And Its Health Consequences, World No Tobacco Day Was Celebrated By Department Of Public Health Dentistry And National Service Scheme (NSS) On 31st May, 2016,Tuesday In Central Out Patient Department, SDCH And At SDC, Narhe, SDC, Kondhwa And SDC, Kusgaon, Lonavala. The Theme Of The Program Was “Plain Packaging” And The Dress Code Was Black.
The Programme Was Attended By Patients, Staff Members Of Medical And Dental Faculty And Students Of The College.
